New Audi RS6 and RS7 performance

The new Audi RS6 Performance and RS7 Performance have the same 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 as the RS6 and RS7 "base", but offer more power. In this case, the power rises to 605 hp instead of 560 hp. Torque, meanwhile, tops out at 750 Nm available between 2,500 and 5,500 rpm thanks to the overboost function, which kicks in when the throttle is fully depressed in Dynamic mode. In other driving modes, maximum torque is set at 700 Nm from 1,750 to 6,000 rpm. So there's no shortage of power.

The result of this extra vitamins can only be seen with a stopwatch in hand. The 0 to 100 km/h is now executed in 3.7 s (-0.2 s compared to the standard RS6) and 0 to 200 km/h in 12.1 s, improving the time by 1.4 s compared to the standard RS6.

As an option, the self-limiting top speed can be set at 280 km/h (Dynamic Pack) or 300 km/h (Dynamic Plus Pack), if you are a frequent user of the autobahn or the 'Ring.

In both the RS6 and RS7, the transmission is Quattro integral (with standard torque distribution priority to the rear axle with 60% of the torque) and automatic tiptronic 8-speed gearbox. The change management has been modified to, according to Audi, provide greater control and sportiness on the gearshift in manual mode. To highlight the presence of an electronically controlled rear differential that distributes the torque between the rear wheels.

The suspensions have hardly been modified with respect to the RS6 or RS7 standard: new tuning and a clearance height lower by 20 mm.

Aesthetically, in both models the front bumper has larger air intakes, while the rear has a new diffuser. These changes are combined with matt titanium elements, such as the Singleframe grille surround, the front spoiler and the sides of the air intakes, window frames, mirror housings and the upper diffuser strip at the rear.
