The second edition of the Spain Classic Raid arrives

    It may seem crazy, but the 145 participants from all over Europe (some come from Holland, Italy or Romania) who are going to enjoy this wonderful adventure, suitable only for real pistonheads, passionate people who think that classic cars have to be driven and enjoyed, and that you have to live life to the fullest, don't see it that way.

    You don't need to be in an off-roader either, and the list of registered participants ranges from sports cars like the Porsche 944, Mazda MX-5, Audi Coupé Quattro or BMW 325 ix, to popular classics like the Renault 4, Renault 5, Seat Panda, Renault 12, DAF 55... Special mention for the brave 1972 Seat 850 that already took part in the last edition! Old rockers never die...


    The second edition of the Spain Classic Raid arrives

    The Raid will pass through the deserts of Monegros and Almeria, the Castilian steppe, the tropical coast of Malaga... The stages have been organized so that the end of each stage is special, and in addition, the route will pass through really interesting areas for its landscape and fauna. There are no shortcuts, and all the participants will have to go through the same dusty, stony and muddy roads, in order to enjoy some of the most beautiful and well known landscapes of Spain, and also some much more hidden ones...

    The passionate organizers of this adventure have designed a route that starts on the 15th at the Olympic Port of Barcelona, with the Seu Vella de Lérida as its goal. On Sunday 16th the route ends at the Expo 2008 in Zaragoza, in the middle of the festivities of El Pilar. On Monday they will head towards Guadalajara, and the finish line on Tuesday 18th will be the Plaza de Las Ventas in Madrid. On Wednesday the adventurers will head to Linares, on Thursday to Almeria, on Friday to the beach of La Herradura, and on Saturday 22nd they will reach the final finish line in the Plaza de España in Seville, where the trophy ceremony will take place.
