Such is the addiction created by these machines that great drivers like Colin McRae could not help but create their own piece inspired by the Escort MK2 prepared for the Monte, with fins and many, many atmospheric horsepower.
The latest to join this trend is Ken Block, who has bought a MK2 with a Millington engine (the last time I asked about an engine made for an Escort by them, it was around 35,000 euros), with 333 horsepower at the rear wheels, joined by a rigid axle, and with a wide track exaggerated by specific RWB fins.
The result is a fascinating envy-generating machine. Or is it?
