And although there are front-wheel drive sports models in the Alliance (the Renault Mégane RS), and although Loing acknowledges that it would be technically feasible, there will not be a front-wheel drive IDx. Thus, the Nissan IDx Freeflow and Nismo Concept will never make it to series production, despite Nissan's initial willingness and public acclaim.
