The Tesla Model S is an impressive car for several reasons: it's fast, it's technological and, in design, it stands out from the crowd. However, many say that it is not luxurious enough and that it attracts enough attention also because, being electric, it does not make any noise. These folks will be happy because a company called Caviar has decided to take a Model S and completely retool it to these specs.
Is called Caviar Model Excellence 24K and it's a Tesla that certainly turns more heads than the Model S we're used to seeing on our streets, pretty much the kind of Tesla you'd expect to see parked in Beverly Hills. For those who don't know it, Caviar is a company that usually modifies the cars it gets its hands on with all kinds of customizations, also combining them with ordinary objects such as mobile phones, shoes or even Playstations.
Gold at will
It is based on the very powerful Plaid version
Caviar plans to produce 99 specimens of this particular gold-plated Tesla, each priced at $299.999, or around €248 at current exchange rates.
The Model Excellence 24K is based on the Model S Plaid (and, perhaps, also on the more powerful Plaid +), so the company will have to wait for the market launch of this version before being able to sell one. Currently, in Spain the Model S Plaid can be configured with a price starting from 119.990 euros, the Plaid + from 150.990.
