Tesla

Tesla's headquarters recently moved from Palo Alto, California, to Austin, Texas. The company has nearly 100 thousand employees worldwide with a turnover of approx 82 billion dollars in 2022.

Tesla is one of six US companies that have achieved a market capitalization of 1.000 billions of dollars. This is a market cap higher than its nine largest competitors combined. But Tesla isn't just an electric car company. In 2016, the company led by Musk acquired SolarCity, the leading US supplier of solar panels. Tesla currently sells four products for solar energy storage and generation: Powerwall, Powerpack, Megapack, and Solar Roof.

SpaceX

SpaceX, an aerospace company founded by Musk back in 2002. According to the company biography, Musk is co-founder and CEO of SpaceX, and also oversees the development of spacecraft and rockets "for missions in Earth orbit and to other planets" . Musk's company is based in Hawthorne, California. However, the spacecraft company's launch site, known as "Starbase," is located at Boca Chica in Texas.

SpaceX was recently rated a 140 billion dollars, making it the second most valuable private company in the world after TikTok's parent company Bytedance. As of 2021, SpaceX has nearly 10.000 employees.

But that is not all. SpaceX also owns Starlink, a company providing low-orbit satellite internet services designed for rural areas with unreliable networks. Currently the Starlink service is also available in Spain. The first batch of Starlink satellites was launched in 2019.

Neuralink

The company has previously said in legal documents that the billionaire "has no executive or management role at Neuralink."

Musk's right hand man, Jared birchall, was listed as CEO and CFO of Neuralink in 2018.

Through the development of a brain chip that Musk has previously described as a "FitBit in your skull," Neuralink aims to treat neurological conditions ranging from paralysis to depression.

Musk's tunneling venture aims to solve the traffic problem in major US cities. One of his future projects is a "Hyperloop," which would theoretically allow passengers to travel at 700 miles per hour and retrace several routes in a short amount of time.
