Tesla filed permits on Thursday to tear down lines of "multiple equipment, tools and services" at the Fremont factory, fueling rumors accompanying each new photo regarding the Model 3 restyling, now known by the name of Project Highland Model 3.
The demolition of the old production lines to make way for the installation of new ones arrives almost confirming the start of production of the new version of the model from Tesla and how the latter is not a simple facelift, but a substantial and radical change of the model.
It should be emphasized that the production of the Model 3 started in 2017 from Fremont, which was later joined by Shanghai as the only other Gigafactory where the car is assembled.
