We really wrote rivers of words about the new Tesla Model Y, we even got on board the only unit that arrived in Spain directly from the USA. But now it's time to answer the question: what Elon Musk's electric crossover sounds like?
By sound we are clearly not referring to the motors, which being electric only produce a hiss, but really to the audio system chosen by the Californian company. Will Tesla have taken a step forward compared to the Model 3 or will he have decided, after all he has already taken over 75% of the general mechanics, to mount the same solution?
The quality of the speakers seems practically the same on both models, however Tesla has mounted an amplifier this time that makes a lot of difference in the field, with a significant qualitative leap in terms of performance and acoustic precision. The car is also able to offer a "immersive" sound that activates two additional speakers mounted on the tailgate. In the end, the Model Y audio system, according to the AudioGamma Hi-Fi expert, gets a nice 9 in the report card.
