Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently concluded his long-awaited visit to China, after reportedly not going there since 2020. He had several meetings with state officials and concluded the trip with a quick stop to Giga Shanghai, as expected. And no, she didn't submit-as was believed new Tesla Model 3.
In fact, Musk made a classic pleasure visit, taking advantage of the factory tour to once again praise his Chinese team and work ethic in China. Ethics that has transformed what could have been a problem for the Texan company into a great opportunity, becoming one of the most productive EV plants in the world, from which Teslas come out for the domestic market and for export.
Problems and opportunities
Although Musk has underlined that there are many problems in China and that relations between the People's Republic and the United States should worry us, he has not missed the opportunity to enter the world's first car market, taking advantage of the great energy transition underway.
The CEO's words need no comment. Musk is clearly impressed by the progress made in China, which has come amid much adversity and turmoil.
“I would like to congratulate you on the incredible job you have done. It has been incredibly impressive how you have managed to overcome so many hardships and so many challenges. It warms my heart, you know. we produce here are not only the most efficient in production, but also of the highest quality".
The Tesla CEO then underlined his satisfaction with what is being done in the Chinese plant. He highlighted Giga Shanghai's "positive energy," the drive to get things done, and the impact it will have for Tesla and the rest of the world. Musk also tweeted the following:
No new Tesla Model 3 then. The long-awaited presentation is postponed to a later date.
